It’s Day 2 of our journey from Altoona, Iowa to Long Beach, California. In this episode, we travel from Iowa to Peck, Kansas, and stay at Wyldewood Cellars, courtesy of Harvest Host.
The first night we stayed at a hotel-casino, and I remember calling in advance to make sure they had space and to make reservations. It never occurred to me that because of the freezing temps and snow on the ground, almost all campgrounds were empty, and space was never an issue. They probably thought I was someone playing a practical joke on them or something. But, as a native Californian, how much time do you think I have spent pondering the weather in Iowa? None. That includes the day I picked up the rig.
I wanted to do more video recordings using the new Insta360 camera, but unfortunately, the settings were not right, so the video quality was poor, very poor. When editing this video, I told Paul that I wasn’t happy with it, but couldn’t quite figure out why. I think it’s because of the video quality, so I am keeping this one short. Plus, I am uploading this via my Verizon HotSpot, so I’m not sure how much data I will be using to upload this video, I will find out soon and let you know. So, I apologize for the crappy video from this camera, and to make matters worse, it is like this throughout the trip back to California. The good news is, we get the drone up and running in our next stop, and those clips are amazing.
